AI recording cards have emerged as a notable segment of the AI hardware market, with major manufacturers entering the space and accelerating its development. DeDao, a knowledge services platform, entered the market in early 2026 with its AI Recording Card. With its extensive content resources, what new possibilities can Dedao bring to this category?

GetSeed AI Recording Card features a slim, card-shaped design measuring approximately 3.1mm (0.122inches) thick and weighing around 28.4g(1.0017oz). It brings together recording for phone calls, WeChat calls, and meetings with speech-to-text transcription and automatic AI summaries. It can recognize 30 foreign languages and 27 Chinese dialects. The device also introduces four core AI features—Highlights, Sprout, Challenge, and Polish—supported by three underlying capabilities. It comes with 64 GB of storage and supports up to 35 hours of continuous recording.

Exterior Design

The GetSeed Card has a slim, card-shaped form factor. At approximately 3.1 mm (0.122 inches)  thick, it is close to a bank card in size, though somewhat thicker. Measuring 54×85.6×3.1mm (2.126×3.370×0.122 inches) and weighing around 28.4g (1.0017oz), it is lightweight and easy to carry.2026090701371966.jpg

The front combines materials with contrasting textures for a more layered appearance. A sliding switch starts and stops recording, while a recessed circular Mark button beside it enables quick capture when pressed and held. There is also an indicator light, a brand logo, and a Wi-Fi symbol.2026090701371857.jpg

On the back are magnetic charging contacts and printed information, including the model number GSC10 and an input rating of 5V, 0.5A.2026090701372213.jpg

User Experience

Recording Experience

The following observations are subjective and provided for reference.

The GetSeed Card supports recording across a wide range of scenarios, including phone calls, WeChat calls, and online meetings. It also makes it easy to capture fleeting ideas whenever they arise.

Recordings can be converted into text and processed using four core AI features: Highlights, Sprout, Challenge, and Polish. These are built on three underlying capabilities—proactivity, memory, and Dedao's content resources—to deliver a more proactive, interactive AI experience.2026090701373383.jpg

With the magnetic holder, the recording card can be attached to the back of a phone. A magnetic ring is also included for phones without built-in magnetic attachment support.2026090701372317.jpg

Slide the switch to start recording; vibration and light alerts confirm the action. Slide it again to stop. Recording works without connecting to the app. Alternatively, press and hold the MARK button to capture an idea quickly.

The companion app offers several recording modes, including quick voice notes, multi-person meetings, on-device audio recording, and classroom recording. If a call comes in during an in-person recording, the device can automatically switch to call-recording mode. Recordings can be transcribed into text, with support for Mandarin, English, and various Chinese dialects.

In our Mandarin recording test, the transcription captured the main content and distinguished between speakers. In addition to the verbatim transcript, the app provides an AI-refined version that improves the wording. It also automatically generates a summary, allowing users to review an overview, chapter summaries, notable quotes, and action items at a glance.

During a multi-person meeting, users can take photos or press the MARK button to flag important moments. The AI then automatically consolidates the material.

When an idea comes to mind, pressing and holding the MARK button captures it immediately. The AI can then turn these scattered thoughts into structured content or notes that are easier to review and share.

The companion app also supports recording audio played on the phone itself. For example, while watching a video or listening to a podcast, users can enable internal audio recording to transcribe the playing content and generate an AI summary.

There are also several flexible ways to add notes beyond recording. Users can paste video links, take photos or add images, import audio and video files, or scan book pages with the smart book-scanning feature. AI automatically analyzes and summarizes the material. For example, when a video link is added as a note, the AI transcribes and summarizes the video, making it possible to grasp the main points without watching it.

Users can also add knowledge bases, subscribe to livestreams and content creators, and follow their latest updates.

Xiaobu, an AI Assistant, can apply Highlights, Sprout, Challenge, and Polish to each recording. In effect, it revisits the material from different perspectives to uncover additional insights.

Insights identify strengths and standout moments in a conversation, highlighting what went well. Sprout extracts key viewpoints and develops them further to inspire new ways of thinking. Challenge points out logical weaknesses or potential risks associated with a particular position. Polish refines the wording into content better suited for sharing on public platforms.

After transcription, Xiaobu may proactively suggest related ideas worth discussing. Tapping a suggestion opens a more detailed analysis. On the app's home screen, the assistant also recommends topics related to different notes, helping users discover fresh inspiration.

Xiaobu also enables conversational note management. For instance, if you have recently been researching AI recording cards, you can ask it to organize your notes on the subject, quickly connecting information captured at different times.

The assistant lets users choose which content sources to search. Searches can, for example, be limited to Dedao courses, e-books, and audiobooks, helping improve the reliability of AI-generated answers. Responses include hyperlinks to the specific cited material.

GetSeed includes 64 GB of built-in storage and supports fast transfers over Wi-Fi. Purchasing the device includes a three-month GetBrain membership. During the membership period, users receive unlimited transcription time and access to the Highlights, Sprout, Challenge, and Polish AI features. Members also receive longer recording allowances for voice notes, meetings, and internal phone audio, as well as increased knowledge-base capacity.

Notably, non-members still receive 600 minutes of free transcription each month. The GetSeed Card supports up to 35 hours of continuous recording and offers up to 60 days of standby time.

Connectivity and Setup

Press and hold the MARK button for approximately one second to power on the device. Open the GetBrain App, select “Recording Card” from the sidebar, and follow the on-screen instructions to pair and bind the device. The recording card supports Bluetooth 6.1 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

In the GetBrain App, users can sync recordings and browse their notes. The bottom navigation bar provides access to the Xiaobu AI Assistant, additional note-creation options, recording tools, and text features. Users can also manage knowledge bases and view stored memories. Tapping the device icon in the upper-right corner opens device information and settings, including automatic sleep when idle.

Summary of 52 AUDIO

GetSeed Card is slim and portable, although it needs to be used with its magnetic holder for phone attachment. Convenient one-touch recording supports phone calls, WeChat calls, and online meetings. Combined with speech-to-text transcription and AI-generated summaries, these features can improve productivity. The card also lets users capture spontaneous ideas through quick voice notes.
